A participatory public artwork for the courtyard of Pirtti School in Kuopio. To be completed in the summer 2026.

Kotiketo (Home Meadow) is a biodiversity-supporting sculpture situated in front of the school’s main entrance. The sculpture serves as a shaded place to spend time and pass through. The surrounding area has been designed to support insect life, and insect hotels will also be placed in the space. The school’s pupils have designed and modelled imaginary insects to be cast in bronze, which will be attached to plant stems. The pupils have also reflected on the characteristics of their insects, which will be compiled into a digital Kotiketo Bug Guide.
